Black Naped Oriole

Notes: quite an elusive bird. Although I hear its typical fluty whistle every time I visit this same part of the park, I have not been able to get a sharp picture of this bird. The pictues I publish here are the best I have at the moment.

Notes: Commonly sold in pet shops in Johor Bahru. Feeds on fruits. Black billed. Often sleeps hanging upside down.

Notes : seen in Pelentong , near Giant Hypermarket.

Murai

Common Name : Magpie Robin

Scientific Name : Copsychus saularis

Notes: Sold as song birds in Johor Bahru. Frequently singing competitions organised in Taman Tun Aminah and many other places. Nest in a hole in tree trunks. Often lays three eggs. When three chicks hatched, often only two will survive.
